  • The Construction contract was awarded to Capital RR Excavating
  • Construction of the El Rey Heights Interceptor Project included:
    • The construction of a new sanitary sewer lift station
    • A new 4” force main from the lift station to a nearby City of Columbia manhole at the intersection of Thompson Road and Thornwood Drive
    • The existing El Rey Heights WWTP was taken out of service and demolished
  • The users in this area remain BCRSD customers and the BCRSD will pay the City of Columbia to treat the wastewater
  • This project was funded by a low interest loan from the State Revolving Fund

El Rey Heights is located northeast of the City of Columbia on Missouri Route PP.
